Vista House for Women
On November 10, 2011, ACCA opened the doors to Vista House, a safe, supervised transitional living program for women and children. Vista House has 17 bedrooms and provides shelter and care for 6 single women and 5 mothers with up to 11 children.
With help from counseling, education, and employment training programs, women will live in a healthy environment and maintain an alcohol and drug-free lifestyle. Life-skills training will be emphasized so that residents have the ability and confidence to secure employment and continue on the path of recovery within the community.
- 17 bedroom residence for 11 women and 11 children, ages birth to 10
- Average length of stay expected to be one to two years
- Women live in a safe, healthy environment while keeping their families intact
- Family treatment model
- Counseling children whose lives have been affected and who are at-risk
- Providing access to structured clinical programs
